Hi designer and design-curious friends!
For the last decade or so, I've been presenting full page mockups to clients after wireframing. [Insert digital high-five here to @jpamental for his generous chat with us about process over tacos!] Style tiles are a fresh, lightweight way to play with look and feel before committing to an elaborate, polished concept.
Someone please throw their body over my keyboard to keep me from typing this if I'm using "style tiles" wrong here, but I understand that they are digital canvases that might include, but are not limited to: color palettes, typography, photo assets/inspiration, buttons, fields, forms, spot illustrations, patterns, textures, and whatever else would contribute to a site's visual library of elements. Be still my heart.
In a nutshell: more specific than a mood board, but less literal than a full page mockup.
I'm joining @elleluna, @greatdiscontent and tons of other makers in #The100DayProject. Wish me luck creating 100 Days of Style Tiles, or better yet, join the party with your own 100 days project. You're warmly invited!
